Robert Furber was a distinguished nurseryman particularly in the area of fruit trees.

He published the following:

1. Fruits for every month of the year. 12 plates. There are prints of the "best kind of fruits raised in the country." This publication is now invaluable and copies can only be found in art museums and other museums specializing in rare books.
2. The flower garden displayed containing about four hundred representatives of the most beautiful flower coloured to the life with the art of raising flowers in the depth of winter. With 12 engravings of the seasons. 1732

This book is now exceedingly expensive and the single original copies of each of the 12 seasons bring fabulous prices in antique stores.
